Our story
Started in 1981 by Karen Millen and Kevin Stanford, as an independent label uniquely positioned in the marketplace offering designer style at the top end of the high street, Karen Millen has since gone on to become an iconic global brand offering aspirational luxury at accessible prices. For Autumn Winter 2011 Karen Millen will celebrate 30 years of success having become the first global design-led attainable fashion label to emerge out of the UK.
OUR COLLECTIONS
The 15 strong design team is headed up by Gemma Metheringham, joint Managing Director, who has been an integral part of the company since 1999. Both Gemma and the team are dedicated to the brand and work across all the Karen Millen lines including apparel, swimwear, footwear, accessories and jewellery, creating 12 collections a season with new items delivered in-store each week.
OUR INTERNATIONAL STORES
New openings for 2011 and beyond planned around the world include Paris, Sydney and Berlin. The brand will celebrate its 30th birthday in 2011 with a series of customer events to be held around the globe.
Internationally renowned celebrities such as Eva Longoria Parker, Nicole Scherzinger and Rihanna regularly wear Karen Millen to high profile events.
